The coordination activities need to have the following contents:

1.Information sharing: In principal, all the teams agree that we should share project information as wider as possible. These will include information on project activities, major achievements, project progress report, etc. Apart from sharing project related information, it was discussed that it will be beneficiary to all involved if each team could share the information collected by teams on issues other than project matters but related to gender and land tenure, either from legal, policy, NGO¡¯s activities, or emerging international issues related to the topic.

2.Regular communication: it was agreed that in every three months, each team will provide a ¡°progress report¡± in a form ready for posting. This report should include records of past activities and plans for near future. In that case, members from other teams can gain some insides of what others are doing and will be able to contribute in their possible ways, such as participating in some of the activities, commenting on the work.
Apart from regular communications, it was also agreed that any team at any time can send requests to other teams or the whole group if they feel the needs for others to participate in their specific activities. This also includes inviting members of the other teams to participate in their project internal meetings or survey works.

3.Meetings and workshops: it was agreed that the average project length is 2 years. Thus, two workshops will be organized during the project period. The first workshop is to be organized at the middle of project duration and it will be mainly focused on providing preliminary results but more importantly get comments from other project members and concerned government officials and individuals. Participants to the workshop not only include all the team members and interested individuals. It is also our intention to invite limited number of people from different government agencies. In that case, they will be aware of the ongoing activities that we are undertaking.

The second workshop will be at the end of projects completion. This workshop will serve as the final workshop of the programme mainly focusing on presenting final results of the projects and for dissimilation purposes. We would expect a wider attendance of participants from outside of the projects.

In between the two workshops, it was agreed that there will be two internal programme meetings in order to provide opportunities for all the team members to make direct contributions to others by sharing and exchanging information. This will also serve as direct information sharing.

4.Dissemination of research results (interim report/ research findings) It was agreed during the last meeting that apart from the dissemination activities mentioned above (e.g. meetings and workshops), it is very important to explore other means of disseminate the research results. Strategies need to be developed on how to let more people be aware of gender and land tenure issues in rural China. Using media, network and printed materials could be combined in order to reach different targeted audience. At the same time, it is important to involve more MEN in the process of discussing WOMEN and land tenure issues.
