¡¡¡¡Since its establishment,
CCAP has been regarded as a model for reforming China's research institutions.
CCAP has adopted the management principles of openness, dynamism,
competitiveness and collaboration. CCAP's senior management team runs
the Center's operations subject to the advice and strategic guidance
from IGSNRR, the Board of Academic Advisors and the Policy Advisory
Committee. All of CCAP's staff vacancies are filled only after an
open recruitment process. CCAP has also been able to fund some small
seed projects with its own resources, especially projects with large
longer-term potential. At the same time, CCAP invites and employs
scholars from other institutions both nationally and internationally
to collaborate on projects of the Center. Although the Center adopts
an annual salary system, salary levels are assessed and adjusted on
an individual basis according to performance. CCAP believes that a
well-designed, scientifically-based management system can best mobilize
and stimulate the Center's human resources.
