¡¡¡¡Ten years has past since CCAP was established. The diligent work of the Center¡¯s staff has been rewarding. Although CCAP has experienced major changes in its location and affiliation, with the support and help from various leaders, fellow scholars and other individuals, the Center has established itself as a productive academic institution. CCAP produces a large number of papers that are published in some of the world¡¯s top scientific and economic journals. The following are the highlights of some of these achievements.
 
 
 
 
 
Selected Awards  

¡¡¡¡Academic Achievements and Awards. Over the past decade, CCAP has published widely both domestically and internationally. In the last three years, the Center has published about 20 papers each year in international journals. Most of CCAP¡¯s publications are either SCI or SSCI listed. In the last several years, CCAP has published papers in such prestigious journals as Nature, Science, the Journal of Development Economics, the International Economic Review and the Journal of Public Economics. In addition, CCAP has published 18 books and regularly produces working papers and policy briefs. All of this work has gained CCAP a high level of recognition by both policy-makers and academics. Individuals at CCAP also have received various awards such as the Fourth National Young Scientist Nomination, the Fifth National Young Scientist Award, the Overeas Returnee¡¯s Achievement Award, and the Sun Yanfang Award. CCAP was the first research team to have been awarded the ¡°Innovative Research Group Award¡± in management sciences by the National Natural Science Foundation. So far, CCAP has conducted more than ten National Natural Sciences Foundation¡¯s projects.

 
 
 
 
 
   
 
 
 
 
 
   

¡¡¡¡Academic exchange. International collaboration not only is an effective way of maintaining high quality research of international standards, but is also a means of attracting good researchers. CCAP regularly runs several seminar series and organizes policy forums 3 to 5 times each year. CCAP has established collaborative relationships with a wide range of research institutions and organizations and actively participates in both national and international forums. Domestically, CCAP has been collaborating with more than 20 research institutes and universities on various research programs.

¡¡¡¡CCAP is grateful to many foundations and agencies for their financial support. ¡¡¡¡Policy Consultancy. CCAP¡¯s key role is to combining its research results and expertise to provide policy consulting to domestic and international organizations and departments. The Center is now a key policy consultant for such important government bodies as the State Council, the State Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Commerce, among others. Members of CCAP¡¯s research staff are often invited to serve as policy advisors for provincial and local governments throughout of China.

¡¡¡¡International Appointments. Individual members of CCAP¡¯s staff are often invited to take up important positions in international organizations. These include being board members of CGIAR centers, chief editors of international journals, and research associates at various international organizations.
